About this opportunity
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is pursuing a single-source procurement with H&C Collective, Inc. for event sponsorship services through June 30, 2026, focused on promoting Florida agricultural commodities. The procurement specifically involves collaboration with Florida International University (FIU) and the South Beach Wine and Food Festival (SOBEWFF) to highlight the "Fresh From Florida" branding and agricultural excellence in the culinary world. The contract aims to leverage H&C Collective's existing relationship with FIU and SOBEWFF to provide premium catering services and create high-profile marketing opportunities for Florida's agricultural sector. The procurement is authorized under Chapter 571, Part II of the Florida Statutes and is being conducted through a statutorily mandated fifteen business day advertisement. Prospective vendors who believe they can provide comparable commodities or services are invited to submit relevant information to the department by June 20, 2025. If no alternative vendors are identified, the department will proceed with H&C Collective as the single-source provider.
The procurement appears to have no specific set-aside designations or restrictions on responding organizations. H&C Collective, Inc. has been selected as the sole source vendor due to their unique positioning as the catering services provider for FIU and SOBEWFF, with an estimated contract value ranging from $100,000 to $150,000. The selection is based on the vendor's proven track record in delivering exceptional culinary experiences and their ability to provide premium catering services for both institutional and large-scale events. There are no indications of disadvantaged enterprise requirements or specific integration needs with existing infrastructure or technology. The procurement process allows for other potential vendors to challenge the single-source designation by providing competitive information prior to the June 20, 2025 deadline. If no viable alternatives are identified, the department will proceed with posting its intent to enter an agreement with H&C Collective on the Vendor Information Portal, in accordance with Section 120.57(3) of Florida Statutes.
