About this opportunity

Tuolumne County's General Services Agency is seeking qualified contractors to install a prefabricated bathroom structure at 11880 Ponderosa Lane in Groveland, California. The procurement involves comprehensive site work including asphalt removal, surface scarification, excavation, fill placement, base rock installation, and concrete surface installation with accessible parking striping and signage. The project requires a Class B Contractor's License and registration with the Department of Industrial Relations, with bidders required to submit a bid bond or security of at least 10% of the bid amount. The Invitation for Bid was released on January 14, 2025, with a mandatory pre-proposal meeting held on January 23, 2025, and proposals due by 8:00 am on February 13, 2025. The contract term is three months with a potential 30-day extension not to exceed June 15, 2025. Contractors must comply with prevailing wage rates, provide certified payroll records, and adhere to specific technical specifications outlined in the project documents. The modular bathroom structure is a CXT Inc. Cortez CR-1802 model, designed to meet 2022 California Building Code requirements and ADA accessibility standards.

The procurement does not specify explicit set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises. The project will utilize a prefabricated modular bathroom structure approved by the California Housing and Community Development (HCD) Northern Area Office, with structural design calculations demonstrating compliance with various building codes and standards. The building permit indicates a project job value of $250,000, with the structure connected to public sewer and water utilities provided by the Groveland Community Services District. Contractors must provide comprehensive insurance coverage, including commercial general liability, automobile liability, and workers' compensation, with specific minimum coverage amounts. The project will require a one-year maintenance warranty bond and a performance bond. The funding appears to be sourced through a grant to meet community needs at the Tesla charging station location, with the county reserving the right to select the lowest responsive bidder based on fund availability. No incumbent vendors or existing contractors are specifically mentioned in the procurement documents.
