About this opportunity
The Town of Groton, located in New London County, Connecticut, is soliciting sealed bids for the construction of a bicycle pump track through Request for Quotation (RFQ) PWC 23-17. The project involves constructing an earthen pump track for bicyclists at a park located on Depot Road in Groton. The primary deliverable is the complete installation of the pump track, which will provide a recreational facility for bicycle enthusiasts. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for March 28, 2023, at 2:00 PM at 65 & 91 Depot Road, and potential bidders can review contract documents, including plans and specifications, on the Town of Groton's website. The bidding process requires vendors to submit sealed bids by April 13, 2023, at 2:00 PM EDT to the Town Hall Annex at 134 Groton Long Point Road, with bids to be publicly opened and read aloud at that time. Bidders must provide security in the form of a bid bond or certified check with their submission. The vendor Q&A period runs from March 16, 2023, at 4:30 PM EDT through April 3, 2023, at 2:00 PM EDT, during which potential bidders can seek clarification about the project.
The solicitation appears to be open to all vendors without specific set-aside designations or restrictions on organizational types. No information is provided about incumbent vendors, current contractors, or existing infrastructure that might require integration. The RFQ specifies delivery terms as Free On Board Destination with vendor-specified payment terms, and the opportunity is designated as having no line items. No estimated total value for the project is disclosed in the documentation. The primary contact for questions regarding the solicitation is Karl Klein from the Department of Public Works, who can be reached at 860-441-6681 or kklein@groton-ct.gov.
