About this opportunity

Broward County Parks and Recreation Division is seeking to procure 17 grills across four distinct categories for multiple park locations, including Miramar Pineland Park, Plantation Heritage Park, Markham Park, Central Broward Park, and Tradewinds Park. The procurement involves supplying four Standard Pedestal Grills, seven Double Pedestal Grills, four Group Grills, and one Stainless Steel Group Grill, with specific technical requirements for each grill type including fire box dimensions, material thickness, and cooking area specifications. Vendors must submit their solicitation responses electronically through Bonfire BPRO by January 22, 2026, with all questions and clarification inquiries due prior to that date through the same platform. The grills must be delivered within 30 calendar days of purchase order receipt to designated park locations between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding County holidays. Approved manufacturers include Kay Park and Jamestown Advanced Products, with equivalent models acceptable, and vendors must provide a minimum one-year warranty against material and fabrication defects.

The solicitation does not specify explicit set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. Vendors must complete a comprehensive Vendor Questionnaire certifying compliance with multiple standards, including debarment status, manufacturer authorization, and willingness to extend pricing to other governmental entities. Insurance requirements are stringent, mandating General Liability coverage of $500,000 per occurrence, Auto Liability coverage of $500,000, Workers' Compensation at statutory limits, and potential Pollution/Environmental Liability coverage. While specific award values are not explicitly stated, vendors must provide unit-based pricing inclusive of freight and delivery costs, with all expenses to be delivered F.O.B. destination. The contract period is expected to begin upon award and potentially extend for up to three years with possible renewal options, not to exceed five years unless extended by Board action. Vendors must also comply with E-Verify requirements, maintain detailed books and records, and adhere to Broward County's Procurement Code.
