About this opportunity
The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife is soliciting quotations for 100 GPS satellite radio collars for moose and deer survival monitoring, with quotations due October 17, 2013.
The collars must acquire two GPS locations per day while the animal is alive, operate for a four-year battery life, integrate VHF beacon and mortality-sensor functionality, and communicate via Globalstar satellite. All electronics must be integrated into a single unit with software provided at no cost. A replacement warranty covering malfunctions and non-functional units is required. Delivery is due by December 7, 2013.
Vendors must submit responses through the State of Maine's online portal system by downloading all attachments, including specifications and multi-line bid spreadsheets, preparing responses offline, and uploading completed commodity responses with unit prices, delivery timeframes, and supporting documentation such as MSDS sheets before final submission. Vendors receive confirmation notice and verification of bid status as "accepted" in the "My Bids" section. Bids may be modified at any time until the RFQ closing deadline. The buying agency does not view bids until the RFQ closes to maintain equal opportunity. Amendments and clarification responses to vendor questions are posted publicly on the website to ensure all bidders have equal access to information.
