About this opportunity
The School Board of Seminole County, Florida is requesting bids on goal inspection, repairs, and replacement services for athletic facilities across the district, with bids due September 14, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. EST and a voluntary pre-bid meeting on August 27 at 10:00 a.m. EST. This is an indefinite-quantity contract with no guaranteed minimum or maximum dollar amount; pricing is submitted on a line-item basis as standard and after-hours hourly rates, all-inclusive of labor, supervision, travel, tools, equipment, and overhead.
Services span installation, inspection, testing, adjustment, repair, preventative maintenance, and replacement of athletic goal systems and related components for football, basketball, lacrosse, soccer, volleyball, softball, and baseball programs across 37 elementary schools, 12 middle schools, nine high schools, six special centers, a virtual school, and four charter schools. Scope includes routine pre-season inspections, corrective repairs, full or partial goal and component replacements, and proper disposal of replaced materials. All materials must meet or exceed NFHS, ASTM, CPSC, and manufacturer specifications. The contractor must obtain written School Board approval for any replacement component or assembly with a unit cost exceeding $500.
The contract is effective upon Board approval or September 8, 2026, whichever is later, for an initial three-year term with an option to renew for two additional years. The School Board reserves the right to cancel with 30 days' notice at the end of any fiscal year. All materials must be FOB inside delivery to Seminole County, Florida. The contractor must maintain Commercial General Liability insurance at $1 million per occurrence and $2 million general aggregate, and Workers' Compensation insurance at statutory limits. All employees requiring campus access must obtain Level 2 background clearance per the Jessica Lunsford Act and receive a School Board-issued identification badge. Comprehensive documentation—facility asset inventories, pre-season inspection reports, critical deficiency notices, work orders, and year-end summaries—is required.
