About this opportunity

The City of Long Beach Department of Financial Management is requesting bids on General Motors and Chevrolet OEM parts and services under ITB FM-24-432, with bids due May 22, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time. Addendum No. 2, issued May 16, 2024, extended the original proposal deadline; all proposers must acknowledge receipt of both addenda by signing and submitting them with their bids or face disqualification. Questions are due May 6, 2024.

The scope covers furnishing and delivering GM and Chevrolet OEM replacement parts and services for the City's light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty service vehicles. Bidders must maintain a place of business and adequate inventory within a 25-mile radius of the Fleet Services Bureau at 2600 Temple Avenue, Long Beach. All deliveries must be FOB Destination at no charge, with standard deliveries within four hours of order receipt and special orders within seven working days. Bidders must provide Chevy-certified technicians and disclose the number of CNG-certified technicians available. Pricing shall be based on percentage discounts from the manufacturer's published price lists, valid for 90 days after bid opening.

The contract term is 24 months from award, with an option to extend for up to three additional one-year periods by mutual agreement. The City prefers to award to a single contractor but reserves the right to award to multiple vendors. Payment terms are Net 30 days based on monthly summary invoices.

Required bid documents include a signed cover page, debarment certification, reference list of five current customers, W-9 Form, Equal Benefits Ordinance compliance form, California Secretary of State certification, and proof of commercial general liability insurance ($1 million per occurrence / $2 million aggregate), workers' compensation coverage ($1 million employer's liability limits), and automobile liability insurance ($500,000 combined single limit).
