The City of Long Beach Department of Financial Management, Purchasing Division is requesting bids on GM and Chevy OEM replacement parts and maintenance and repair services for the City's light, medium, and heavy-duty service vehicles under ITB FM-24-402, with bids due April 25, 2024. Addendum No. 1, issued April 18, 2024, extended the original April 18 deadline; all proposers must acknowledge receipt of the addendum in their submissions or face disqualification.
The vendor must maintain a place of business and adequate parts inventory within 25 miles of the Fleet Services Bureau at 2600 Temple Avenue, Long Beach. Required qualifications include Chevy Certified Technicians and CNG certification where applicable. Delivery requirements are FOB destination within four hours for standard orders and seven working days for special orders, with will-call fulfillment within one to two hours. The vendor must provide daily vehicle status reports, accept 100 percent return of unused parts purchased within 30 days, and maintain manufacturer authorization to distribute parts.
Pricing shall be based on percentage discounts from Manufacturer's Published Price Lists, with NET 30 payment terms. The contract term is twenty-four months from award, with extension options for up to three additional one-year periods at the City's discretion. Price adjustments during extensions may not exceed the Los Angeles-Riverside-Orange County Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers. The City reserves the right to award to a single contractor or multiple vendors and may inspect inventory at any time during the contract term.
Proposers must submit hard copies of signed bid cover pages and notarized acknowledgments by mail to the City Clerk. Mandatory compliance attachments include federal debarment certification, client references (up to five), IRS Form W-9, California Secretary of State certification, and proof of insurance covering commercial general liability of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, workers' compensation, and automobile liability of $500,000 combined single limit.
