About this opportunity
Long Beach Utilities Department is requesting quotes for GMC and Chevrolet medium and heavy-duty truck parts and repair services, with quotes due July 30, 2024 by 11:00 a.m. Vendors must be located within a 20-mile radius of LBUD's Operations Service Center — a geographic restriction that filters eligibility.
The scope covers parts supply and repair services for a fleet including a 2000 GMC C-7500 and 2018 GMC Sierra 3500. Vendors must quote hourly repair rates, percentage discounts for parts, vehicle pickup and delivery charges, and all associated fees. Deliveries are required within three business days of release notice to two designated locations at 1841 East 33rd Street and 1731 East 33rd Street, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Will-call provisions require items available within four hours of order, and emergency repair capabilities with a two-hour response time are mandatory.
The contract term is one year. Award is based on unit prices quoted; LBUD reserves the right to purchase varying quantities as needed. Prices must remain firm for the one-year contract period, with vendors confirming in writing that they will not decrease percentage discounts or increase rates — breach permits contract cancellation.
Vendors must hold a valid California contractor's license, Long Beach business license, and comprehensive general liability insurance of $1 million per occurrence and automobile liability insurance of $500,000. Workers' compensation insurance is required. Vendors must demonstrate a three-year documented history in repair services. Payment is made within 30 days of invoice receipt upon completion and acceptance by the General Manager. Quotes should be submitted by email to CentralProcurement@LBUtilities.org.
