This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by the Long Beach Utilities Department (LBUD) for GMC truck parts and repair services. The RFQ seeks quotes for parts and repair services for GMC and Chevrolet medium and heavy-duty trucks, including a 2000 GMC C-7500 and 2018 GMC Sierra 3500. Bidders must be located within a 20-mile radius of LBUD's Operations Service Center. Quotes must be submitted by email to CentralProcurement@LBUtilities.org by Tuesday, July 30, 2024, no later than 11:00 A.M. The contract term is one year, and award will be based on unit prices quoted, with LBUD reserving the right to purchase varying quantities as needed. Deliveries are required within three business days of release notice, with parts and equipment delivered Monday through Friday between 8:00 A.M. and 2:30 P.M. to the designated warehouse and service center locations at 1841 East 33rd Street and 1731 East 33rd Street, respectively.

Vendors must provide repair service hourly rates, percentage discounts for parts, vehicle pickup and delivery charges, and all associated fees, with prices held firm for the one-year contract term. Bidders must confirm they will not decrease percentage discounts or increase rates during the contract period; failure to do so permits LBUD to cancel the contract. The RFQ includes will-call provisions requiring items available within four hours of order and emergency repair capabilities with a two-hour response time. Bidders must maintain adequate inventory, carry comprehensive general liability insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence, automobile liability insurance of $500,000, and workers' compensation insurance. Additional requirements include a valid California contractor's license, Long Beach business license, conflict of interest certification, and a demonstrated three-year history in the repair services business. Payment is made within 30 days of invoice receipt upon completion and acceptance of work by the General Manager.
