About this opportunity
The Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD) in Michigan issued a Request for Proposal on March 11, 2026, with a deadline of April 8, 2026, for the procurement of refurbished server hardware to support the district's data center infrastructure. The procurement is divided into two independent categories: Section A requires three refurbished Dell R750 virtual host servers equipped with dual Intel Xeon Gold 6338 processors, 768 GB of DDR4 or DDR5 enterprise RAM, redundant boot storage with 480GB SSDs in RAID-1 configuration, dual-port Fibre Channel and 25Gb/10Gb network adapters, iDRAC Enterprise, TPM modules, and redundant power supplies; Section B requires two refurbished Cisco UCSC-C240-M6S servers with dual Intel Xeon Silver 3414 processors, 512 GB RAM, redundant 480GB SSD boot arrays, eight 1.92TB enterprise SSDs in RAID-10 storage configuration, dual-port 10Gb network adapters, and redundant power supplies. All equipment must be fully tested, certified, and free of cosmetic or functional defects, with vendors permitted to bid on one or both categories independently. Section A requires a minimum five-year hardware support contract with next business day replacement or better, while Section B requires Cisco SMARTnet support for a minimum of five years with 24x7 Technical Assistance Center access, next business day hardware replacement, and firmware/software update entitlements. Pricing must be valid through June 30, 2026, and vendors may direct technical questions to Nick Smoke at nsmoke@geneseeisd.org.
All bidders must comply with multiple mandatory compliance requirements and certifications to have their proposals considered responsive. Every bid submission must include a completed and notarized Familial Relationship Disclosure Statement certifying compliance with Public Act 232 of 2004, an executed School Safety Affidavit confirming that all personnel comply with Michigan school safety statutes and have no disqualifying criminal convictions, and an Iran Economic Sanctions Act Certification under penalty of perjury confirming the bidder is not an Iran-linked business as defined under MCL 129.311. Bids submitted without any of these three required certifications will be rejected as non-responsive. The RFP documentation does not identify any specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged or minority business enterprises, incumbent vendors, current contractors, or available budget ranges for this procurement. Vendors must submit complete proposals using the mandatory Bid Form (Attachment B1) in the specified format to ensure consistent evaluation and comparison across all responses, with all bids evaluated based on criteria outlined in the Instructions to Bidders document.
