About this file
This is a requirements attachment document for an RFP issued by Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD) in Michigan for data center hardware procurement. GISD is soliciting bids for refurbished server equipment in two independent categories: Section A covers three (3) refurbished Dell R750 virtual host servers, and Section B covers two (2) refurbished Cisco UCSC-C240-M6S UCM servers. Vendors may submit proposals for one or both equipment categories at their discretion, with proposals evaluated independently by category and awards potentially made for one or both categories. The specifications for Section A include dual Intel Xeon Gold 6338 processors (3rd Gen Ice Lake) with minimum 32 physical cores per CPU, 768 GB of enterprise-grade DDR4 or DDR5 RAM, redundant boot storage with either a Boot Optimized Storage Solution or enterprise RAID controller containing two 480GB SSDs in RAID1, dual-port Fibre Channel and 25Gb/10Gb network adapters, iDRAC Enterprise, TPM module, and redundant power supplies. Section B specifications include dual Intel Xeon Silver 3414 processors with minimum 16 cores per CPU, 512 GB RAM, 2x 480GB enterprise SSD boot array in RAID-1, and 8x 1.92TB enterprise SSDs in RAID-10 storage array, along with dual-port 10Gb network adapters and redundant power supplies.
All refurbished equipment must be fully tested and certified by the vendor, eligible for the specified support term, and free of cosmetic or functional defects. Section A requires a minimum five-year hardware support contract with next business day replacement or better; Section B requires Cisco SMARTnet support for a minimum of five years, providing 24x7 access to Cisco Technical Assistance Center, next business day hardware replacement, and firmware/software update entitlement. Pricing must be submitted for the specified quantities (three servers for Section A and two servers for Section B) and must be valid through June 30, 2026. Vendors should direct any questions to Nick Smoke at nsmoke@geneseeisd.org. No information regarding response deadlines, bid opening dates, or final award dates is provided in this requirements document.
