About this opportunity
The West Virginia General Services Division, Department of Administration, is requesting quotes for garage door repair and maintenance services at 21 state-owned buildings throughout West Virginia under ARFQ 0211 GSD2700000005, with bids due August 4, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. and technical questions due July 28, 2026 at 12:00 p.m.
The scope encompasses annual preventative maintenance inspections and repair services for overhead garage doors across multiple building locations, including troubleshooting and repair or replacement of motors, cables, tracks, springs, and door sections on metal roll-up, track/roller, hinged panel, and steel slat doors. The contractor must be factory-certified by the garage door manufacturer and demonstrate at least three years' experience in commercial and residential garage door maintenance.
Pricing is structured as a flat annual rate for preventative maintenance at each building plus an hourly labor rate for repair work, with no overtime, weekend, holiday, or emergency surcharges permitted. All mileage, travel costs, and travel time are the contractor's responsibility except for qualifying travel exceeding 75 miles from specified reference points. Parts must be priced at manufacturer's suggested retail price less applicable discounts for stock items, or at vendor cost plus markup for ordered items, with freight passed through as a cost-plus arrangement.
The initial contract term is one year with renewal options for up to three successive one-year periods. The contractor must provide a 30-day labor warranty and pass-through manufacturer warranties on parts. Mandatory insurance includes Commercial General Liability and Automobile Liability at $1,000,000 per occurrence. The apparent successful vendor must register with the West Virginia Purchasing Division prior to contract award. Contact Cody G. Taylor at 304-352-5531 or cody.g.taylor@wv.gov for inquiries. Bids must be submitted electronically through wvOASIS or delivered in person to 112 California Avenue, Building 4, 6th Floor, Charleston, WV 25305.
