About this opportunity

The City of Alpharetta is issuing Invitation to Bid (ITB) 26-009 for FY25 Police and Fire Fleet Replacements, seeking to procure 24 vehicles through an electronic bidding process via the Bonfire platform. The specific vehicles required include 7 GMC Canyon 4WD Elevation Trucks, 2 GMC Acadia AWD Elevation vehicles, 2 Chevrolet Equinox LT AWD vehicles, 5 Chevrolet Traverse LT AWD vehicles, and 8 Chevrolet Tahoe PPV 4WD 9C1 vehicles. Bidders must submit comprehensive documentation including a cover letter, business information, contact details, IRS Form W-9, and the Bidder's Disclosures and Certifications form, along with unit pricing for each vehicle type on the provided Schedule of Items pricing sheet. The City reserves the right to purchase vehicles from one or more dealers based on pricing, specification matching, and vehicle availability, with a preference for dealer stock but acceptance of build-to-order vehicles. All vehicles must be delivered to Alpharetta Police Headquarters with delivery coordinated through the Police Lieutenant of Technology and Logistics. The ITB was posted on September 18, 2025, with bids due by October 2, 2025, at 10:00 AM, submitted exclusively through the Bonfire online platform. Questions and communication regarding the ITB must be conducted solely through the Bonfire platform's Opportunity Q&A tab, with direct communication with City staff prohibited and subject to disqualification.

The City of Alpharetta offers an optional Local Vendor Preference (LVP) program providing a 3% cost preference for qualifying vendors that have maintained a permanent business location within Alpharetta city limits for at least six months, hold a valid city business license, distribute goods or services from a non-residential location, and are current on all city taxes and fees. For this ITB, if the lowest bid is from a non-Alpharetta vendor, a local vendor can be awarded the contract if their bid is within 3% of the lowest bid price. All bidders must complete required certifications confirming they are not debarred, suspended, or ineligible for public contracts, have not been convicted of fraud or embezzlement within the past three years, and have no conflicts of interest with City elected officials or employees. The procurement does not include specific set-asides for disadvantaged enterprises, and no incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the documentation. No explicit budget range or award value is specified in the available documents; however, given the LVP threshold of $50,000.01 to $500,000.00, the total contract value is anticipated to fall within or exceed this range. The City retains the authority to reject all bids or any non-responsive bids and to waive technicalities to award a contract that serves the City's best interests.
