About this opportunity
The Township of Livingston Police Department is requesting proposals for furnishing and delivering crossing guard services at school posts, with proposals due September 2, 2026 and contract implementation targeted for no later than November 1, 2026.
The contract covers one school year running November 1, 2026 through August 31, 2027, with one optional one-year renewal extending through August 31, 2028 on identical terms if the Township exercises the extension. Crossing guards are required only when Township schools are officially in session or when directed by the Chief of Police or designee. The Township estimates approximately twenty-one crossing guards will be needed for each school day; however, this is preliminary and the Police Department will communicate exact staffing requirements to the contractor throughout the school year.
No contract value, incumbent contractor, evaluation criteria, pre-bid meeting, or detailed pricing terms are specified in the source material.
