Summary of Livingston Crossing Guard Services Contract

This document is a crossing guard services solicitation issued by the Township of Livingston Police Department in New Jersey. The Township seeks to contract for the furnishing and delivery of crossing guard services at school posts, with implementation targeted for no later than November 1, 2026, and a contract period extending through August 31, 2027. The contract includes one renewal option that would extend services through August 31, 2028 under identical terms, contingent upon the Township's agreement to exercise the extension. Crossing guards are required exclusively during official school session days or when directed by the Chief of Police or designee. The Township estimates that approximately twenty-one (21) crossing guards will be needed daily; however, this figure is preliminary, and the Police Department will communicate exact staffing requirements to the selected contractor throughout the school year.

The document does not specify detailed pricing terms, set-asides, or funding sources within the provided file content. No information is presented regarding the incumbent contractor, current service environment, or specific compensation structures. All contractor responsibilities and service obligations terminate at the conclusion of the final contract option year, provided no outstanding disputes remain unresolved.

These tests shall be performed annually, prior to the beginning of the school year, at no additional cost to the Township. The results must be provided to the Livingston Police prior to the employee being returned to duty.
