About this opportunity
The Colorado Department of Corrections is requesting quotes for fresh eggs to supply correctional facility kitchens at five locations—Arkansas Valley Correctional Facility (Crowley), Central Warehouse (Canon City), Denver Women's Correctional Facility (Denver), Limon Correctional Facility (Limon), and Sterling Correctional Facility (Sterling)—with quotes due June 18, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. MST via bidnetdirect.com/cdoc.
The scope is 360 cases of fresh eggs (30-dozen or 15-dozen configurations per case) for delivery the week of June 22–26, distributed across the five facilities. Bidders must meet detailed egg-grade, size, and packaging specifications established in Exhibit A. Pricing must be quoted per case on an all-inclusive basis, with delivery on FOB destination terms (freight prepaid). Bidders may specify either 30-dozen or 15-dozen case packs; unit pricing must include all delivery fees.
Award will be made to the responsible bidder whose acceptable quote is determined most advantageous to CDOC, with price and cost as the primary evaluation factor and sample quality and lead time for delivery also subject to evaluation. The initial Purchase Order term covers ordered quantities for delivery on specified weeks following award; pricing must remain firm during the initial term.
Contractor personnel must complete enhanced criminal background investigations, fingerprinting, and drug testing within 30 days of award notification or risk Purchase Order termination. Vendors must provide proof of Good Standing with the Colorado Secretary of State and an insurance certificate (commercial general liability minimum $1 million per occurrence / $2 million aggregate, and workers' compensation as required by Colorado law) prior to Purchase Order execution. All bidders must register in CORE through Vendor Self Service and register with Bidnet Direct.
Bidders must submit a completed Statement of Work (Exhibit A), Required Bidder Information (Exhibit B), W-9 form (Exhibit C), Price Quote (Exhibit D), Contract Performance Outside the US or Colorado disclosure (Exhibit E), and Non-Conflict of Interest certification (Exhibit F). Written inquiries are due June 15, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. MST; responses to bidder inquiries will be published June 16, 2026. Virtual public opening is scheduled for June 18, 2026; Notice of Intent to Award and Purchase Order execution are estimated for the same date. CDOC reserves the right to cancel the solicitation or reject any or all quotes at any time before Purchase Order execution.
