About this opportunity
The Colorado Department of Corrections is requesting quotes for fresh eggs to supply correctional facility kitchens, with quotes due June 11, 2026, and delivery required the week of June 8–12, 2026 to three locations: Buena Vista Correctional Complex, Central Warehouse in Canon City, and Sterling Correctional Facility.
All eggs must meet USDA Grade A standards, available in brown or white varieties, in loose pack cases of 15 or 30 dozen. Eggs must be stamped and dated no more than 17 days prior to delivery and maintained at temperatures not exceeding 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Brand substitutions are not permitted. Products must be properly labeled with identity and origin and date coded.
Pricing must be itemized and all-inclusive of shipping, surcharges, and taxes, with all costs FOB Destination. Pricing remains firm during the Purchase Order term. Bidders must submit all exhibits (A through F), including statement of work and specifications, required vendor information, W-9, non-conflict of interest declaration, vendor questionnaire regarding out-of-state or offshore performance, and the egg price order form.
The Colorado Department of Corrections retains the right to inspect goods at any time. Vendors must carry commercial general liability insurance with minimum limits of $1 million per occurrence and $1 million general aggregate, with the State named as additional insured. Certificates of insurance must be provided within seven business days following the effective date.
Failure to deliver on three separate occasions within the agreed timeframe may result in designation as a non-responsible bidder with disqualification from future solicitations for three years or indefinitely. All purchase order terms and conditions are governed by Colorado law and the Colorado Uniform Commercial Code, with modifications only through written change orders signed by both the State and the vendor.
