About this opportunity

The State of Missouri, specifically the Office of Administration - Facilities Management, Design & Construction (OA-FMDC), is seeking bids for a comprehensive foundation stabilization and waterproofing project at the E.W. Thompson State School located in Sedalia. The solicitation, identified as IFB E2329-01, covers an extensive scope of work including underpinning existing strip and spread footings, which involves excavation, preparation, and backfill processes. Additional project requirements include removing and replacing exterior sidewalks, paving, and interior slabs-on-grade, as well as removing and reinstalling interior floor finishes. The technical work also encompasses re-pointing interior perimeter CMU walls where cracks are present and re-caulking all openings such as windows, doors, vents, and conduits. The bid solicitation period is open from April 24, 2024, to May 21, 2024, with a bid opening scheduled for 1:30 PM CDT on May 21, 2024. Vendors must submit their responses electronically through the MissouriBUYS system or potentially via hard copy, depending on specific solicitation instructions. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.

The solicitation does not specify any explicit set-aside designations or restrictions on vendor participation, indicating the bid is open to all qualified vendors. No incumbent vendor information is provided, and there are no clear indications of specific minority, women-owned, or service-disabled veteran enterprise (MBE/WBE/SDVE) requirements mentioned in the documents. The solicitation package includes multiple supporting documents such as MissouriBUYS instructions, a directory of potential minority and service-disabled veteran enterprises, and two addenda. While an exact project budget or estimated total value is not disclosed, the comprehensive nature of the foundation and waterproofing work suggests a substantial investment in infrastructure rehabilitation. The project appears to be funded by the State of Missouri and will be managed through the Office of Administration's Facilities Management, Design & Construction division, with contact available through Mandy Roberson for any potential vendor inquiries.
