About this opportunity

The Georgia World Congress Center Authority is requesting sealed bids for a flooring replacement project at the Savannah-Georgia Convention Center Authority facility in Atlanta, with bids due November 29, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., and a mandatory site visit on November 14, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. A strict communication restriction is in effect: interested firms may not contact Authority staff or officials except through written questions to the contracting officer or at the pre-bid conference; violation results in rejection of the submittal.

The scope covers removal of approximately 4,440 square feet of existing Tandus carpet tiles in the Tondee's area, floor preparation, installation of Amtico 40mil vinyl floor planks (Amtico Signature Collection, Wood Style, American Cherry AROW7450, 9"×36" or 9"×48" planks), installation of primed white quarter-round trim, and provision of transitions to existing carpet areas. Award is on a lump-sum basis to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. The successful contractor must commence work within ten days of the proceed order and complete work within a timeframe specified in the bid form.

Bidders must acknowledge all issued addenda or face disqualification. A bid bond equal to five percent of the base bid, payable to the Savannah-Georgia Convention Center Authority and issued by a corporate surety authorized to do business in Georgia, is required. The successful bidder must furnish performance and payment bonds, each at 100% of the contract price. Required insurance includes workers' compensation, employers' liability, commercial general liability ($1,000,000 minimum per occurrence), commercial business automobile liability ($1,000,000 combined single limits), and commercial umbrella liability ($3,000,000 per occurrence/$4,000,000 aggregate). Contractors must comply with Georgia's Drug-Free Workplace Act, Immigration Reform and Control Act (E-Verify), and maintain a competent superintendent on-site with a detailed safety program. Liquidated damages apply for delays beyond the material completion date. Questions should be directed to contracting officer Erle Coleman at 404-223-4244 or Ecoleman@SGCCA.com.
