UNSPSC 60123703: Macrame accessories

UNSPSC 60123703 Macrame accessories is a Commodity code that does not reflect the work state and local governments are actually buying under this designation. The recent opportunities tagged to this code show a disconnect between the nominal scope and current procurement activity. One opportunity concerns carpet removal and replacement at a multifamily housing property; the other is a cooperative purchasing solicitation for law enforcement equipment. Neither involves macrame accessories or products consistent with the code's stated name.

The mismatch suggests this code sees minimal relevant state and local procurement activity, or that the tagging of recent opportunities to it is erroneous. No solicitations for macrame accessories, decorative fibers, or related furnishings appear in the recent opportunities block. Business development professionals should verify the correct UNSPSC code for macrame or textile accessories work if pursuing opportunities in that category, and should treat this code as inactive for procurement planning purposes unless direct evidence of relevant buying activity emerges.
