About this opportunity
The Maine Department of Transportation Fleet Services is requesting quotes for a fire suppression system installation at 105 Capitol Street, Augusta, with quotes due June 24, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. local time. In cases of tied quotes, preference is given to in-state bidders or those offering commodities produced or manufactured in Maine.
The scope covers installation of a dry chemical fire suppression system for a COL-MET truck and equipment paint booth (model TSC 1813-40 PSB, dimensions 19 feet wide by 15 feet 2 inches tall by 40 feet 6 inches long), integrated with a paint mixing room (PMR-0810), a Titan Heat and Cure Air Make-Up Unit Model TA-220 LG VRH-H.O.T with 2,500,000 BTU LP gas direct-fired burner and 15-horsepower fan motor producing 160-degree hot air, thirty-two four-foot UL-listed fluorescent light fixtures, two 24-inch vaneaxial exhaust fans, and three bi-folding product doors. The air make-up unit requires 460V, 3-phase, 3-wire power at 60Hz. All systems must meet applicable Federal, State, local, and OSHA regulations and be inspected and certified by the local regulating authority. Bids must include shipping, delivery, and all installation costs to the specified location, along with documentation including invoices, layout diagrams, drawings, and maintenance and inspection schedules.
Evaluation criteria include price, warranty, manufacturer performance data, delivery schedule, parts availability, and other factors deemed appropriate. The State reserves the right to award on an individual item basis or as a group, to increase or decrease ordered quantities by up to 10%, and to reject any or all quotes. Bidders must accept payment by check, Electronic Funds Transfer, or State of Maine procurement card and cannot impose surcharges on card transactions. Questions must be submitted through the online platform designated on the Solicitation Details View page.
