About this opportunity
Lewisville Independent School District is requesting competitive sealed proposals for fire sprinkler repairs, parts, and related services across its 127-square-mile district, with proposals due August 11, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. CT and a bid opening scheduled for August 4, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. CT via WebEx.
The district operates thirty-five elementary schools, fifteen middle schools, three ninth-grade centers, two ninth and tenth-grade centers, five high schools, and approximately fifteen various buildings requiring fire sprinkler system repairs, alterations, modifications, and maintenance on an as-needed basis. All work must comply with National Fire Protection Association standards and applicable municipal fire codes, include full factory warranties, and exclude refurbished materials. The district serves 48,000 students across thirteen municipalities in Denton County and surrounding areas.
The initial contract term runs September 2026 through November 2027, with three successive one-year renewal options extending through November 2030. LISD reserves the right to award to a single proposer or multiple proposers on a multiple award schedule basis, with Board approval anticipated for September 14, 2026 and an effective date of September 15, 2026.
Pricing is based on hourly labor rates for fire sprinkler technicians, helpers, and foremen during standard and after-hours work; unit pricing for specified fire sprinkler components and parts; and a discount rate for other parts and services. Pricing remains firm during the contract term except for documented manufacturer price increases submitted during renewal periods.
Evaluation is weighted as follows: Purchase Price (50 points), Quality of Goods/Services (18 points), Reputation and References (10 points), Extent of Meeting District Needs (10 points), Other Relevant Factors including insurance requirements and Form 1295 completion (10 points), and Past Relationship with District (2 points).
Proposers must submit proof of Commercial General Liability, Auto Liability, and Workers' Compensation insurance; a completed W-9 Form; a Certificate of Interested Parties (Form 1295); a Public Records Agreement; a Pre-Employment/Pre-Service Affidavit; and three business references from school districts or companies within the Dallas-Fort Worth area used within the last three years. Questions are due July 28, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. CT.
