About this opportunity

The Florida Department of Health (FDOH), Division of Community Health Promotion, Bureau of Family Health Services is seeking to purchase counseling, information, and referral services for their toll-free Family Health Line. This procurement is a single-source purchase authorized under Chapter 287, Florida Statutes, and is required to meet state and federal mandates for the FDOH to provide a toll-free number for parents to access information about healthcare providers and practitioners. The FDOH is requesting authorization to purchase these services from 2-1-1 Big Bend, Inc. for a 3-year term, with an estimated contract value of $1,050,000. The FDOH has determined that 2-1-1 Big Bend, Inc. is the only vendor capable of providing the required all-inclusive services, as they have the necessary knowledge, experienced staff, and were involved in the initial implementation of the perinatal mental health services mandate. This provider has historically been the sole respondent to competitive solicitations for these services, allowing the FDOH to maintain continuity of service without interruption.

The procurement is not subject to any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, as it is a single-source purchase. The incumbent vendor, 2-1-1 Big Bend, Inc., has been providing these services to the FDOH, and the FDOH is seeking to maintain this existing infrastructure and continuity of service. The estimated contract value of $1,050,000 represents the budget range for this procurement.
