About this file
This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Health (FDOH), Division of Community Health Promotion, Bureau of Family Health Services. The FDOH is seeking to purchase counseling, information, and referral services for their toll-free Family Health Line per state and federal requirements. The FDOH is requesting authorization to purchase these services as a single source from 2-1-1 Big Bend, Inc. for a 3-year term. The estimated dollar amount for this contract is $1,050,000.
The FDOH has determined that 2-1-1 Big Bend, Inc. is the only vendor capable of providing the required all-inclusive services, as they have the necessary knowledge, experienced staff, and were involved in the initial implementation of the perinatal mental health services mandate. This provider has historically been the sole respondent to competitive solicitations for these services, allowing the FDOH to maintain continuity of service without interruption.
