About this opportunity
The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) is soliciting bids for equipment rental services at Aqueduct Racetrack in Ozone Park and Belmont Park Racetrack in Elmont, New York. The procurement specifically seeks vendors capable of providing small equipment/aerial lifts and heavy construction/earth moving equipment on an as-needed basis. The contract term will span three years, commencing on January 1, 2026, with equipment to be rented and transported to these two racing venues. Proposals must be submitted by November 13, 2025, at 5 PM prevailing time, to the Senior Director of Procurement located at 110-00 Rockaway Blvd, Suite 1, Ozone Park, NY 11417. Bidders have two submission options: electronic submission through the Empire State Purchasing Group website (https://www.bidnetdirect.com/new-york/nyra) or manual submission at the specified address. Complete specifications and details are available for download from the same website, and bidders are solely responsible for timely submission of their proposals.
While no specific set-aside designations or enterprise restrictions were explicitly mentioned in the contract opportunity, the procurement appears open to qualified equipment rental vendors who can meet NYRA's operational requirements. The solicitation covers Queens County and spans multiple racing facilities, suggesting potential for significant equipment deployment. No incumbent vendors or specific budget ranges were disclosed in the document. Interested vendors should thoroughly review the complete specifications on the Empire State Purchasing Group website to understand the full scope of equipment requirements, transportation expectations, and potential evaluation criteria. Potential bidders are advised to carefully examine the detailed requirements and ensure their equipment and services align with NYRA's needs for small and heavy construction equipment rental across their racing facilities.
