About this opportunity
The City of Centennial, located in Arapahoe County, Colorado, is seeking qualified service providers for a comprehensive emergency and on-call fiber optic network services contract through Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 25-09-02. The procurement seeks a vendor capable of providing full-scope fiber optic infrastructure services, including installation, repair, maintenance, improvement, and testing of the city's existing network. Required services encompass detailed technical work such as mid-span fusion splicing, trunk splicing, OTDR testing, fiber enclosure installations, termination, and complete fiber section replacements. The initial contract term is one year, with potential renewal options for five additional successive one-year periods contingent upon mutual agreement. Proposals are due on October 6, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with vendors required to demonstrate 24/7/365 emergency response capabilities, including a four-hour maximum response time for repairs and complete restoration of incident areas. Evaluation criteria will include qualifications, pricing, service capabilities, and overall responsiveness, with the city reserving the right to select one or multiple service providers based on comprehensive assessment.
The RFP does not explicitly outline specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged business enterprises. Vendors must provide detailed unit pricing for various services, including emergency and standard mobilization, aerial and underground fiber optic cable installation, splicing, termination, testing, conduit installation and repair, and labor rates for different personnel and equipment categories. While specific budget ranges are not disclosed, the comprehensive nature of the required services suggests a significant potential contract value. The procurement allows for flexible vendor selection, potentially accommodating multiple service providers based on their unique strengths and capabilities. The city's approach indicates a preference for comprehensive, technically proficient vendors with robust emergency response infrastructure and the ability to handle complex fiber optic network maintenance and improvement projects. Interested vendors should carefully review the full RFP documentation to understand the extensive technical and operational requirements for this critical municipal infrastructure contract.
