About this opportunity

Dane County, Wisconsin is seeking proposals for comprehensive Elevator Maintenance & Repair Services (Group 1) across multiple county facilities, including the City County Building, Public Safety Building, Courthouse, Regional Airport, and other locations. The procurement covers maintenance and repair services for 41 elevators manufactured by Dover, ThyssenKrupp, Schindler, Otis, and other brands, with technologies ranging from direct hydraulic to geared and gearless traction systems. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for June 26, 2025, at 8:00 am CST, beginning at the City County Building, with predetermined stops at the Public Safety Building, Courthouse, and Airport; vendors who fail to attend will have their proposals automatically rejected. The contract term will run from the purchase order execution date until December 31, 2027, with potential renewal options through December 31, 2030. Proposals are due by July 29, 2025, at 2:00 pm and must be submitted electronically through the county's eProcurement Portal. Vendors must provide pricing for preventative maintenance monthly rates, repair rates (including regular time, overtime, and team rates), and a material markup percentage for non-covered components.

The solicitation does not explicitly mention specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. The procurement covers elevators with varying capacities ranging from 1,500 to 10,000 pounds, installed between the 1950s and 2023, serving diverse functions across county facilities. While specific budget ranges are not detailed, the comprehensive nature of the contract suggests a significant maintenance investment, with pricing to include monthly maintenance rates for 47 elevators and comprehensive repair services. The county reserves the right to adjust quantities, split awards, and terminate the contract for non-performance or non-appropriation of funds. Potential bidders will need to demonstrate technical expertise in maintaining complex elevator systems across multiple manufacturers and technologies, with service frequencies ranging from semi-annual to monthly depending on the specific location and elevator type.
