About this opportunity

Anne Arundel County, Maryland is requesting bids for electrical repairs, replacements, and new installation services under an IFB, with bids due October 27, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time and a pre-bid conference scheduled for October 1, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. via Zoom.

The scope covers labor services across multiple skill levels — master electricians, journeymen electricians, and helpers — for both low-voltage and medium-voltage work, plus equipment rental including bucket trucks, backhoes, trenchers, and scissor lifts. Estimated quantities include 1,000 hours of journeyman electrician regular-time work, 1,000 linear feet of direct boring, 100 hours of various overtime services, and approximately $100,000 in miscellaneous materials, equipment rental, and subcontracting. Vendors must provide all delivery with items delivered FOB Destination between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding County holidays.

The contract will be structured as a Blanket Purchase Agreement with authorization through individual purchase orders. Estimated contract value is approximately $100,000 in materials and services. All prices must be firm for one year from the contract effective date and exclusive of state, federal, and local taxes. Award is anticipated November 15, 2026.

Insurance requirements are $1,000,000 combined single limit Commercial General Liability, $1,000,000 Business Automobile Liability, and Workers' Compensation Insurance with Employers' Liability limits of $100,000 each accident. The successful supplier must warrant all goods and services for one year and provide safety data sheets for hazardous materials. Payment terms are net 30 days; the County will consider annual price adjustment requests up to the Consumer Price Index. The County reserves the right to levy liquidated damages of $50 per working day for late deliveries and may terminate the contract with 30 days' notice for convenience or 7 days' notice for cause. Bid opening will occur remotely via Zoom approximately 15 minutes after the submission deadline.
