The solicitation seeks a qualified electrical contractor to provide installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, with project work ranging from general maintenance to wiring repairs and electrical equipment replacement. Minimum qualifications require respondents to be an established firm with at least three years of experience, a valid Florida Certified Electrical Contractor License, and a business located within 150 miles of the CCSB Maintenance Department. Key submission deadlines include October 14, 2025 at 12:00 PM EST for question submissions, and October 28, 2025 at 2:00 PM EST for bid submissions, with bid opening occurring at the CCSB Purchasing Department. Evaluation criteria include labor rates for licensed journeyman electricians and apprentices/helpers, with specified rates for straight time and premium time periods, and a maximum 10% markup allowed on materials, rental equipment, and subcontractor services. The initial contract period will run from December 15, 2025 through December 14, 2027, with potential for three additional one-year renewals.

The solicitation does not specify any specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. No incumbent vendors are explicitly mentioned in the documentation. The contract allows for possible multiple awards, with the CCSB reserving the right to select primary and alternate contractors at its discretion. No guaranteed contract value is specified, and the CCSB retains the ability to perform work internally or procure services from alternative sources if deemed in the district's best interest. The contractor must maintain comprehensive insurance coverage, including Commercial General Liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence/$2,000,000 general aggregate), Product Liability ($1,000,000/$2,000,000), Automotive Liability ($1,000,000 combined single limit), and Workers' Compensation at statutory limits. The Notice of Intended Decision document reveals that Central Florida Electric of Ocala, LLC was recommended for award, with hourly rates of $70.00 for licensed journeymen and $50.00 for apprentices/helpers, and a total evaluation bid price of $12,897.50. Pricing shall remain firm for the first 12 months, with subsequent price adjustment requests requiring documented cost increases.
