About this opportunity
The State of Maine, through its Military Bureau Division of Purchases, is requesting quotations for door hardware components for Facility Management System #3, Building #250 in Bangor (Bid #09-055), with quotations due May 12, 2009. All items must be sourced from specified manufacturers — Von Duprin and Best — with no substitutions permitted.
The scope comprises six exterior door mortise locks (Model #7500), six exterior door trim units (Model #994L), six touch bars (Model #9875), and six 7-pin IC cores with standard cam components. The door hardware specification establishes comprehensive requirements for exterior and interior steel doors, hollow metal frames, and associated components, including panic hardware, door closers, floor-mounted door stops, and hardware reinforcements. Exterior doors must be 1¾ inches thick, 3 feet by 7 feet, constructed of 16-gauge steel with full flush construction, reinforced and insulated to R-Factor 10.04, and equipped with half-glass glazing featuring dual-pane 6-millimeter laminated glass with LOW-E thermal properties. All hardware finishes must be satin chrome unless otherwise specified. Additional hardware approvals are limited to named manufacturers: Hager Companies, McKinney-Assa Abloy, or Stanley for hinges; Corbin Russwin-Assa Abloy for door closers; and Don-Jo, National Guard Products, Pemko-Assa Abloy, and Reese Enterprise for miscellaneous components.
Bidders must submit quotations using the provided spreadsheet exclusively, include freight costs for rush delivery, and provide the bidder's name and telephone number. Completed deliverables are to be shipped to the State of Maine Building #8 at Camp Keyes, Augusta, Maine 04330. Project contacts for questions are David Pelletier and Romeo Chabot. Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder based on best value considerations including quality, conformity with specifications, and delivery date, with tie bids resolved in favor of in-state bidders or those offering Maine-manufactured commodities.
