About this opportunity
The state of Illinois, through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR), is seeking to procure 613 pounds of various native prairie grass and forb (wildflower) seed for Pyramid State Park in Piatt County. The IDNR is looking for a vendor to provide specific quantities of Little Bluestem, Big Bluestem, Canada Wild Rye, Side Oats Gramma, and other prairie grass and forb species. The seed must be of Midwestern ecotype and have little to no weed seed contamination. The vendor must be able to deliver the seed to the IDNR Prairie Ridge State Natural Area in Newton, Illinois by June 30, 2025, and submit a final invoice by that date. The contract will commence upon the last dated signature and terminate on June 30, 2025, with a maximum term of 10 years including any renewal terms. The contract will be a firm, fixed-price bulk purchase, and the vendor must provide a bid for the entire 613-pound quantity. The vendor will be responsible for any expenses incurred in conducting the activities described in the job specifications.
This contract opportunity is funded through the State Wildlife Grants Federal Assistance Program (CFDA # 15.634) and has specific federal requirements that the contractor must adhere to, including maintaining proper documentation, compliance with debarment and suspension policies, the Byrd Anti-Lobbying Amendment, and other labor, environmental, and procurement standards. The contract provides up to $TBD at bid of State Wildlife Grants Federal Assistance Program funds to reimburse the contractor for approved expenses. There are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, and no incumbent vendors or current contractors are listed. The contract value is to be determined based on the vendor's bid for the 613-pound quantity.
