About this opportunity

The Illinois Department of Mental Health is requesting bids for one commercial conveyor-type dishwashing machine for Alton Mental Health Center, with bids due July 23, 2026 — a three-day window from posting.

The scope includes delivery, installation, utility connections, startup testing, and staff training. The unit must process a minimum of 240 racks per hour, consume no more than 0.50 gallons of water per rack, accommodate 20 × 20 racks with a 19-inch loading height, and deliver high-temperature sanitation. Wash tank temperatures must be 150–160°F; final rinse temperatures 180–195°F. The equipment must be compatible with 208-volt, 240-volt, or 480-volt electrical service (single-phase or three-phase) and require minimum water supply and 2-inch drain connections. All equipment must achieve NSF sanitation certification and ETL or UL electrical safety listings and comply with federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.

The estimated project completion date is December 31, 2026. The vendor bears full responsibility for installation, including water line and electrical connections, and must provide operational training in accordance with applicable health, plumbing, and electrical codes.

Vendors awarded contracts of $1,000 or more must pay a $15 fee to the Comptroller's Administrative Fund. General Commercial Liability insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 annual aggregate and Workers' Compensation Insurance as required by law are mandatory. The contract may be funded partially or wholly with federal funds, with the percentage disclosed in the award notice. Prevailing wage requirements apply as applicable. The State reserves the right to terminate for convenience with 30 days' written notice without penalty and will not reimburse expenses incurred prior to contract execution. Payment is governed by the Illinois Prompt Payment Act, with invoices for services and supplies through June 30 of any year due by July 31 of that year.
