About this opportunity

The state of Florida, specifically through Polk County, is seeking professional surveying services via a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) numbered 40893 for Districtwide Surveying Services. The procurement aims to establish an agreement with professional surveying firms licensed in Florida that possess Professional Surveyors registered in the state. The required surveying services encompass specific purpose surveys prepared according to Florida Administrative Code standards, including boundary, topographic, bathymetric, mean high water line determination, and subsurface utilities location surveys. The primary objectives include supporting land acquisition efforts and providing unbiased, independent assessments of land boundary dimensions, locations, and property sizes to benefit Florida residents. The solicitation was posted on March 7, 2025, with proposals due by April 3, 2025, indicating a procurement timeline of approximately four weeks. Potential respondents must demonstrate compliance with Chapters 5J-17 and 61G17-6 of the Florida Administrative Code and possess comprehensive surveying capabilities across multiple technical domains.

While specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are not explicitly detailed in the provided information, the procurement appears to be open to qualified professional surveying firms with state licensure. The contract seems designed to establish a multiple-award contract or pre-qualified vendor pool for ongoing surveying services, suggesting potential recurring project opportunities. No specific budget range or estimated contract value was disclosed in the available documentation. The District's intent appears focused on creating a flexible, responsive surveying services arrangement that can support various land management, protection, and preservation initiatives across Polk County. Interested firms will need to demonstrate technical expertise, state licensure, and the capability to perform diverse surveying services with professional standards and unbiased methodological approaches.
