About this opportunity

Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) has issued a state and local contract opportunity for the procurement of sanding discs, specifically a 6-inch disc with 040 grit, 3M Cubitron II brand, packaged in a box of 25 units. The procurement is located in Dallas County, Texas, with a bid posting date of January 12, 2026, and a response deadline of January 19, 2026. Potential vendors must complete Bonfire registration to access detailed bid information and must submit their proposals through the platform's in-browser BidTable window. The procurement requires strict adherence to specific freight and delivery terms, with FOB Destination shipping being mandatory and freight costs included in the overall price. Vendors must understand that delivery time and rate are critical, and failure to meet specified delivery schedules could result in order rejection or default termination. The procurement process mandates that all invoices be submitted electronically to APInvoices@dart.org with specific detailed documentation, including purchase order number, item description, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals.

No specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises were explicitly detailed in the provided documentation. The procurement appears open to qualified vendors capable of meeting the technical specifications and delivery requirements. Payment terms are standardized at Net 30, with invoices processed 30 days from receipt of the invoice or order, whichever is later. Vendors must comply with DART's Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, which include commercial warranties, product inspections, and certification of compliance with Texas state requirements such as non-association with Foreign Terrorist Organizations and non-boycott of Israel. While no specific award value or budget range was indicated for this specific disc procurement, the terms suggest a competitive bidding environment with potential for ongoing supply relationships. All contractual terms are governed by Texas law, with any disputes subject to resolution with final appeal decisions resting with DART, unless determined to be fraudulent or arbitrary by a court of law.
