About this opportunity
The City of Fort Collins' Transfort Bus Division is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) to explore potential digital signage replacements for bus stops and stations. The procurement seeks vendors capable of providing hardware solutions that can integrate with Clever Devices' BusTime application, offer Ethernet network connectivity, comply with ADA accessibility standards, and provide comprehensive content management capabilities. Key deliverables include digital signage hardware that can effectively communicate transit information at various bus stops and stations, with vendors encouraged to submit proposals addressing any portion of the specified hardware requirements. The RFI response submittals are due by 3:00 p.m. on October 10, 2025, with subsequent product demonstrations scheduled between October 27 and November 7, 2025. Vendors may be invited to participate in one-on-one meetings to discuss their specific products and capabilities. The evaluation will likely focus on technical compatibility, integration potential, accessibility features, and overall solution effectiveness for the Transfort Bus Division's infrastructure needs.
The RFI does not specify explicit set-aside designations or restrictions on responding organizations, and no incumbent vendors are mentioned in the documentation. The current infrastructure involves existing digital signage that requires replacement, with a specific requirement to integrate with the existing Clever Devices' BusTime application. While no specific budget range is explicitly stated, the document indicates that the City plans to launch a subsequent Request for Proposal (RFP) contingent upon funding approval. Vendors are required to submit proposals through the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System, with the understanding that the City is not obligated to cover any costs incurred by respondents in preparing their responses. The procurement is part of the City of Fort Collins' commitment to sustainable purchasing and improving transit digital signage infrastructure. Respondents are expected to provide comprehensive company information, detailed descriptions of their digital signage solutions, budgetary cost estimates, and potential implementation schedules.
Opportunity text
The City of Fort Collins' (City) goal in issuing this Request for Information (RFI) is to give vendors who are interested in entering into a contractual arrangement with the City an opportunity to exchange information with the City prior to the possible future issuance of a Request for Proposal (RFP). This RFI is intended to provide both the City and the respondents an opportunity to learn more about how each conducts business. City of Fort Collins Transfort Bus Division is researching the market for viable replacements for our current digital signage located at stops and stations. Please note that vendors are not expected to provide all requested solutions. Vendors with products that meet any portion of the hardware requirements are encouraged to submit a proposal.
