About this opportunity

The Commonwealth of Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Division of Purchases, issued Request for Bid (RFB) 605 25000000023 on behalf of the Division of Right of Way and Utilities for demolition services in Allen County. The procurement seeks complete demolition and removal of structures and improvements located on Brownsford Road in Scottsville, Kentucky, specifically including a 1,600 square foot two-story wood frame dilapidated house with a half basement, an approximately 700 square foot detached metal and wood frame dilapidated garage, a concrete underground cistern approximately 12 feet deep, two concrete rainwater collection structures associated with the cistern, and two dilapidated concrete foundations with debris. Additional work includes ground clearance for trees and debris to facilitate access to the structures and proper removal and disposal of all materials in compliance with Kentucky regulations. Bidders must submit lump sum pricing on the attached bid sheet through the Kentucky Vendor Self Service portal at https://vss.ky.gov, with written questions due by July 23, 2024 at 3:00 PM Eastern Time and bids due by July 31, 2024 at 1:30 PM Eastern Time. No mandatory prebid meeting will be held, and prospective bidders are responsible for conducting their own site inspections and investigations. All work must be completed within 45 consecutive calendar days from receipt of the work order, with penalties of $500 per day assessed after that period for up to 7 calendar days per parcel; the contract may be cancelled after 52 calendar days. Award will be made based on best value with price as the sole evaluation criterion (100 points), with the lowest bidder receiving the maximum score. The anticipated award date is August 9, 2024.
