About this opportunity
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is seeking competitive pricing for a Debris Removal Service on the Florida Keys Wildlife and Environmental Area (FKWEA), which consists of approximately 5,835 acres of land managed by FWC across Monroe County, Florida. The project entails the systematic removal of 100% of targeted debris, including construction materials, household items, metal objects, and yard waste, from designated project areas that can only be accessed by foot. The contractor will be responsible for supplying all labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to complete the debris removal and proper disposal at licensed facilities. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit will be held on April 9, 2024, and bids are due by April 23, 2024 at 4:00 PM ET. FWC plans to award the one-year contract on April 26, 2024, with potential extensions if justified. The total budget for the project is $80,000, which is based on the annual appropriation for the area.
FWC encourages participation from certified minority-owned, woman-owned, and service-disabled veteran business enterprises. The solicitation will be awarded to the responsive, responsible bidder that submits the lowest total price. There is no incumbent vendor or existing infrastructure to integrate, and no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond.
