About this opportunity
The Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking data and workflow efficiency solutions to address operational challenges stemming from disparate and non-compatible software systems that currently impede coordination and communication across the agency's multiple programs. GEFA administers numerous programs providing financial assistance for infrastructure improvements, land conservation, energy initiatives, and fuel storage systems, all of which rely on several incompatible data systems that limit workflow efficiency. Respondents must submit comprehensive electronic responses as single PDF files not exceeding 12 pages in 11-point font to Richard Sawyer at rsawyer@gefa.ga.gov by April 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with written questions due by April 6, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. and GEFA responses provided by April 8-10, 2026. Required response content includes firm organizational information, qualifications and experience with similar services, general solution information demonstrating current industry best practices, and specialized capabilities addressing fragmented data systems integration, agile business information integration, data collection and transfer streamlining, automated data analytics, data collaboration and sharing, data visualization tools, data governance and security, and data transformation reporting and documentation. Evaluation will be based on organizational viability, qualifications appropriateness, and relevance of available solution methodologies, with GEFA reserving discretionary rights to issue a formal RFP to all or selected respondents, directly engage respondents for proposals, utilize existing statewide or agency contracts, or pursue alternative procurement approaches.
GEFA has not disclosed specific set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise restrictions, incumbent vendor information, pricing requirements, or specific funding amounts in this RFI. No current contractor or technology integration requirements have been identified in the procurement documentation. All submitted responses become GEFA property and public record following either an ultimate award or procurement cancellation, with respondents bearing all costs associated with response preparation and submission. Proprietary or trade secret information must be clearly identified in accordance with the Georgia Open Records Act. The RFI is explicitly information-gathering in nature, with GEFA utilizing responses to plan for potential future improvement initiatives and possible engagement of an outside provider, meaning this procurement does not commit GEFA to any specific contracting action or award value at this stage.
Opportunity text
GEFA¿s administration of multiple programs currently requires complex coordination and communication, as GEFA utilizes or engages, to varying degrees, several software systems holding significant amounts of important data. These systems often are inherently disparate or non-compatible and often do not work together. Difficulties with workflow can be a result. GEFA is seeking information from potential data and workflow efficiency providers that will generally inform GEFA as to potential solutions in the current market. GEFA intends to utilize the information received in response to this RFI to plan for improvement of data and workflow efficiency, ultimately with possible assistance from an outside provider.
