About this opportunity
The State of Maine is requesting quotations for custodial services at the Skowhegan Troop C facility, work centers only, under RFQ 181221-194, with quotations due January 2, 2019.
The scope encompasses comprehensive custodial and cleaning services for designated work center spaces, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, carpet shampooing, floor waxing, dusting, glass cleaning, and waste removal at specified frequencies ranging from daily to annual. All materials must meet OSHA approval standards and include complete Globally Harmonized System (GHS) Safety Data Sheets maintained on the premises.
The awardee must establish detailed work schedules coordinating with the State's Agreement Administrator, maintain comprehensive insurance coverage including Workers' Compensation, Commercial General Liability of $300,000 per occurrence, and Automobile Liability of $300,000 per occurrence (with the State of Maine named as an additional insured), and ensure personnel undergo background checks and display identification badges. The provider is liable for damage to state property and responsible for securing the facility upon completion of work. No more than 15 percent of contract work may be performed by subcontractors, who must supply equivalent insurance certificates.
Payment is made monthly upon receipt of invoices, with deductions allowable for incomplete or defective work as determined by the Agreement Administrator. The Agreement Administrator will conduct inspections bi-weekly for the first two months and monthly thereafter using standardized evaluation worksheets. Contract term and renewal options are contingent upon performance metrics and budget availability. Funding is provided through Maine state resources allocated for facility maintenance and operations.
