VCT floor care and carpet cleaning are performed approximately twice annually in April/May and November/December. All work must be performed by the contractor's own employees; subcontractors are not permitted. Previous contract pricing for reference: Operations Building monthly cleaning at $850.00 and VCT floor care at $500.00; Administration and Engineering buildings each at $75.00 for one-time custodial services and $500.00 for VCT floor care. The bid is not subject to prevailing wage requirements or certified payroll, and no minority business enterprise participation goals apply.
The contractor must maintain Workers Compensation and Employers Liability Insurance with minimum limits of $100,000 per accident and $500,000 disease aggregate, and Commercial General Liability Insurance with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 general aggregate. Proof of insurance and bonding must be submitted within ten days after award. Bids remain binding for 120 days.
