About this opportunity
The State of Nevada Purchasing Division, on behalf of the State Public Works Division (SPWD), is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to fabricate and install exhibit displays to create an exhibition space at the Stewart Indian School Cultural Center and Museum in Carson City, Nevada. The scope of work includes the fabrication of exhibits, graphic panels, interpretive media, digital media software and hardware, and artifact mounting within the Cultural Center building. The not-to-exceed budget for this contract is $660,000, and the awarded contract will begin on or about April 10, 2019 and last until the job is completed but no longer than September 30, 2019. A mandatory site visit and pre-bid meeting is scheduled for December 18, 2018, and proposals are due by January 18, 2019 at 2:00 PM. The award will be based on the bidder's proposed cost, evaluation of the bidder's previous experience and track record, and bidder's approach to the project, with cost being 20% of the overall evaluation criteria.
The contract opportunity does not indicate any set-asides or incumbent vendors, and funding will come from the state's 2017 Capital Improvement Program. However, the RFP notes that a 5% preference will be awarded to businesses based in Nevada. Vendors must provide financial information, company background, references, and proposed staffing details as part of their technical proposal, and the State will evaluate proposals based on demonstrated competence, experience, conformance to the RFP terms, and expertise and availability of key personnel.
