The City of Cripple Creek is seeking bids for the Mountain View Skate Park Surfacing Project located on Masonic Avenue between 1st and 2nd Streets. The procurement involves comprehensive skate park infrastructure renovation, including approximately 800 square yards of concrete sidewalk and pavement removal, concrete pavement section replacement, and chain link fence repair. The project encompasses a fenced enclosure measuring 60 feet by 119 feet, with specific requirements for excavation, aggregate base course installation, construction surveying, and traffic control. Sealed bids are due on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 2:00 pm local time, with a non-mandatory pre-bid conference scheduled for Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Cripple Creek City Hall. Bid evaluation will be based on the lowest responsive bid, with the city reserving the right to reject any or all submissions and award the contract considering the lowest total base bid, bid alternatives, and bidder qualifications. The project is expected to be completed within 100 days of contract commencement, with final completion anticipated within 120 days.

The contract opportunity incorporates Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) forms that emphasize Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation, requiring contractors to demonstrate good faith efforts in engaging small and minority-owned businesses. The project will be funded directly by the City of Cripple Creek, with no federal or state wage requirements mandated. Contractors must submit comprehensive documentation including a Contractors Performance Capability Statement, Anti-Collusion Affidavit, and Assignment of Antitrust Claims. While no specific budget range is explicitly stated, the contract includes force account items with estimated budgets, such as $50,000 for minor contract revisions, $10,000 for utility adjustments, $10,000 for erosion control, $2,500 for landscaping, and $10,000 for fence repair, suggesting a total project value potentially exceeding $100,000.
