Substantial completion is required within 365 calendar days; liquidated damages are $3,813 per day for delay. Progress payments are made monthly at 95 percent of completed work with 5 percent retainage. Bid security of 5 percent of the Base Bid, provided as certified check or bid bond, is required. If the contract exceeds $200,000, the contractor must execute performance and payment bonds under Florida Statutes Section 255.05.
