Jackson County has established a 9.5 percent Minority-Owned Business (MBE) participation goal, with zero percent goals for Woman-Owned Business (WBE) and Veteran-Owned Business (VBE) enterprises; bidders unable to meet the MBE goal must submit a Good Faith Effort Form documenting their outreach efforts. The county has provided a Certified Directory of minority and women business enterprise contractors current as of May 18, 2026, which lists three roofing-specialized firms meeting local certifications: Blue Chip Roofing & Waterproofing, LLC (certified as both MBE and WBE), Compass Roofing, LLC (MBE), and Peak Roofing & Construction/Lead Abatement, LLC (MBE).
