About this opportunity
Pinellas County School District is soliciting sealed electronic bids for commercial doors and frames to be supplied districtwide, with bids due October 15, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. via the District's OpenGov Procurement portal under IFB 26-AM-022. Suppliers must be located within 75 miles of the PCSB district office. Florida businesses receive a 5 percent preference if the lowest bid is from an out-of-state supplier in a state that does not grant reciprocal preferences.
The scope includes wood doors with structural composite lumber stave cores, non-rated and fire-rated metal doors (18-gauge galvanized and primed), steel frames in flush and knock-down configurations, astragals, window kits, louvers, transoms, and hardware components. Estimated annual usage spans 100 natural birch doors in 36"x80" and 36"x84" dimensions, 55–70 standard metal doors, 10–30 fire-rated doors, and 10 astragals of each specified size. All products must comply with HMMA standards and applicable fire-rating specifications, confirmed by manufacturer's certifications and installation instructions. Replacement parts must remain available for five years post-delivery. Delivery is required within 4–8 weeks for custom items and less than 4 weeks for standard sizes to F.O.B. destination points districtwide.
The estimated annual contract value is approximately $250,000. The contract term runs November 10, 2026 through November 9, 2027, with renewal options for two additional one-year periods by mutual consent and unilateral extension for up to three 30-day periods at the Director of Purchasing's discretion. Pricing shall remain firm for the initial contract term with all freight and handling included; price escalation or de-escalation at renewal periods cannot exceed the prior year's CPI-U. This is an "all or none" bid. Questions are due October 1, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. Evaluation occurs October 15–22, with Notice of Intent to Award expected November 3 and School Board approval estimated November 10. Bidders must demonstrate five years of operation and provide three references for similar goods supplied within the last three years, along with mandatory compliance forms including debarment attestations and drug-free workplace certification.
