About this opportunity

The State of Florida, Department of Management Services, is issuing an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for Commercial Automobile Insurance to establish a one-year contract beginning October 20, 2022. The Department is seeking responses from interested vendors to provide comprehensive commercial automobile insurance coverage for various state agencies and eligible users, including liability, personal injury property, medical payments, collision, and other than collision coverage. The selected contractor will be responsible for marketing, securing, and administering the insurance policy, as well as providing claims settlement and customer service. Vendors must submit their responses electronically through the MyFloridaMarketPlace Ariba on Demand Sourcing event by the September 28, 2022 deadline. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.

The ITB does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. However, interested vendors must meet certain certification requirements, including being authorized to do business in Florida, maintaining required insurance licenses and authority, and having at least 10 years of related experience. The incumbent provider is American International Group, Inc. (AIG), and the average annual spend for the current policy over the past three years is $303,038, but this is provided for informational purposes only and does not represent a guaranteed minimum.
