About this opportunity

The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office is seeking sealed bids for a six-month contract with an option for one additional six-month renewal, specifically for collision repair parts for their vehicle fleet. The procurement targets replacement parts for vehicles manufactured by FORD, CHEVROLET, CHRYSLER, DODGE, NISSAN, and GMC, encompassing automotive body parts and supplies such as hoods, doors, fenders, bumpers, glass, quarter panels, and aftermarket windshields, including installation and calibration services. Bidders must be authorized original equipment manufacturer dealers for the specified vehicle brands and operate a parts facility capable of stocking a large inventory. The bid requires vendors to quote percentage discounts off the manufacturer's list price and provide original, genuine, and authorized replacement parts. The solicitation mandates delivery to the STPSO Vehicle Maintenance department at 2070 Collins Blvd. in Covington, Louisiana, with stock orders expected to be delivered on a next-day basis. Bids are due on October 10, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. CST, and all questions must be submitted through bidnetdirect.com. The award will be made to the vendor offering the highest overall percentage discount.

The procurement does not explicitly mention specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. The sheriff's office fleet comprises 175 Ford units, 284 Chevrolet units, 4 GMC units, 21 Dodge units, and 58 Nissan units, indicating a diverse vehicle population. The estimated annual spending on vehicle repair parts is approximately $250,000, suggesting a substantial contract value. Vendors must provide a current catalog, submit proof of insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 in product liability, and include a W9 and vendor registration form with their bid. The contract requires the successful bidder to honor all manufacturer warranties, defects, and recalls on replacement parts and components. Delivery fees must be included in the bid pricing and cannot be added to orders. While no incumbent vendors are mentioned, the solicitation emphasizes the need for a comprehensive parts inventory and the ability to provide parts for multiple vehicle manufacturers.
