About this opportunity
Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC), a state institution located in Ouray County, Colorado, is soliciting a documented quote for the procurement of one non-radiographic x-ray simulator unit to support its Radiologic Technology program at the Craig Campus (2801 West 9th Street, Craig, CO 81625). The equipment must include specific hardware components: a four-way float-top table, transverse rotational tubestand, wall stand, non-operational x-ray tube, and certified manual collimator, along with software components featuring Rayence Acquisition console software and Xmaruview acquisition software with associated support packages. Installation and shipping/freight costs must be included as part of lump-sum pricing, with mandatory on-site installation required no later than May 30, 2026. The solicitation was published April 9, 2026, with written inquiries due by 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time on April 10, 2026; vendor responses to inquiries were estimated to be posted by April 13, 2026; and quotes must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on April 16, 2026, via email to Aaron Harris, Purchasing Coordinator (aaron.harris@cncc.edu, 970-675-3279), with award notification estimated for April 20, 2026. Vendors must demonstrate good standing with the State of Colorado, maintain current General Liability Insurance of at least $1 million per occurrence and $1 million aggregate, possess manufacturer authorization for distribution and installation, and submit proof of insurance, W-9 forms, and completion of the CNCC Response Sheet. Award will be made to the responsible respondent whose acceptable quote is most advantageous to the State, with price/cost as the primary consideration, with other factors including sample quality and lead time also evaluated.
Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) certified by the U.S. Small Business Administration will receive a 5% preference on quote pricing, and vendors must confirm their status as small businesses, minority-owned businesses, woman-owned businesses, or SDVOSB enterprises on the required response sheet. While CNCC currently operates x-ray simulators from Rayence and Armad Medical (Summit Industries brands), alternative manufacturers such as DRGEM will be considered if they meet operational requirements and ease-of-use standards that align with existing equipment functionality and user interface uniformity. The college outsources maintenance and service for laboratory equipment beyond internal capabilities; although this solicitation does not include a maintenance agreement, vendors are encouraged to submit separate optional pricing proposals for maintenance services covering both existing and newly procured simulators. This is a one-time purchase with no anticipated renewal options, and all materials and work product become the exclusive property of the State upon completion. The total procurement budget is $35,000, which must be submitted as lump-sum pricing inclusive of equipment, installation, and shipping/freight costs, with payment due within 45 days of receipt of goods and acceptance of a correct invoice.
