About this opportunity

The City of Monona in Dane County, Wisconsin, is soliciting bids for a LED streetlight materials procurement project. The procurement involves purchasing specific LED streetlight fixtures and photo controls from qualified vendors, with precise specifications for each item. The City requires 7 Leotek ComfortView Neighborhood LED Street Lights (66W, 7220 lumens), 27 Leotek ComfortView Neighborhood LED Street Lights (29W, 3463 lumens), 216 Leotek ComfortView Neighborhood LED Street Lights (48W, 5479 lumens), and 250 TE Connectivity 8000 Series photo controls. Bids will be received electronically via email to Brad Bruun, the project manager, with the bid opening scheduled for October 31, 2024, at 1:00 PM through a virtual Zoom meeting. The expected date of bid award is November 19, 2024, with the procurement process to be completed within 15 days of the award notification. Bidders must adhere to Wisconsin state regulations, federal bidding requirements, and confirm they have not engaged in any collusive activities or trade restraints.

The solicitation does not specify explicit set-aside designations or restrictions on responding organizations. The bid tab summary indicates six vendors submitted pricing, with N Beyond LLC providing the lowest total bid at $57,462.50. While no specific disadvantaged enterprise requirements are mentioned, the City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and award the contract to the bidder deemed most beneficial to the city's interests. The project manual suggests the potential replacement of approximately 1,300 streetlights, indicating this materials procurement could be part of a larger infrastructure upgrade initiative. The contract may include potential renewals for up to two additional one-year terms at the City's discretion. Vendors must be WisDOT certified and comply with federal and state bidding regulations, ensuring a competitive and transparent procurement process.
